The Four Attitudes That Will Make or Break Your Life

The first level of attitude is represented by people who are Constantly Complaining and grumbling. The critics. As I read one pastor write, "They brighten up a room just by leaving it." We learned of these people in the book of Numbers - a whole generation of complainers. As a result the Lord leaves them wandering in the desert for 40 years until all of them die off.

The second level includes people who just live lives of Ingratitude. They don’t complain, but they never thank God for His obvious blessings. They believe all they have is either because of what they have earned or what they deserve.

Then, there is the level of people who are Thankful for Obvious Blessings. When something good happens, they’re genuinely grateful. That’s a better level.

Finally, there is the highest level of attitudes. It is being Grateful for All Things at All Times. Whether circumstances are good or bad, they are grateful. This is the secret to joy. It is never letting our level of desire for things exceed our level of gratitude towards God, because He is never changing. He is always gracious and good towards us.

"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." I Thessalonians 5:18
