Reminders When Sharing Christ

Don't Forget To Pray - Because sharing Christ is a spiritual battle, we must fight it at the spiritual level with our spiritual weapon - heartfelt prayer.  “Our battle is not against flesh and blood but powers and principalities.”

Don't Forget The Power Of The Word - "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes." Romans 1:16

Don't Forget To Love Them - They won't care about what you have to share if they don't feel you care. It's why you are sharing Jesus with them in the first place! Serve them. Be intentional with them. Give of yourself for them. Caring also means listening as well and valuing their opinion. "The love of Christ compels us.

Don't Forget The Holy Spirit's Work - When you are done sharing, your Spirit-filled words will leave an imprint that they will have to wrestle with.  No matter how much they fight they will go to bed at night, like you, and think over what was shared. "When He comes, He will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: about sin because people do not believe in Me." John 16:8-9.

Don't Forget Your Story - Your testimony is powerful as well.  It is real stuff that God actually did and is doing in your life.

Don't Forget To Keep Jesus As The Main Issue - You will get sidetracked often.  Most reasons adults reject Christ is NOT intellectual but moral.  Jesus is the issue at hand. He still asks the question that He did to Peter, "Who do you say that I am?"

Make Sure They Know How To Receive Christ - Even if they reject Christ, ask them:  “If you wanted to give your life to Christ how would you do it?”
